Dillon County VFW Post 6091 proudly hosted six JROTC cadets and their instructor at their regular meeting on August 13th. This event provided the students with a unique opportunity to engage with veterans from all branches of the military, including two honored recipients of the Purple Heart Medal and the VFW District 7 Commander. The cadets observed the meeting and gained valuable insights into the numerous community service activities that Post members engaged in during July. They listened to compelling stories of military service, patriotism, and the diverse experiences of various military assignments. This experience not only educated the cadets but also inspired a deeper appreciation for the sacrifices made by our veterans.
